Privacy Policy for Pothole the Thieves

Pothole the Thieves (“the Game”) is provided by Parth Manhas, based in India (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the Game, including through Google’s advertising, analytics, and gaming services. The Game is available worldwide and is intended for users aged 13 and older.

1. Information processed

Game progress and preferences

The Game stores information locally on your device to preserve your progress and preferences. This includes:

• Scores and gameplay statistics.
• In-game coins, upgrades, and unlocked items.
• Selected customizations.
• Audio, camera-shake, and other settings.
• Tutorial progress and information used to adjust gameplay difficulty.
• Scores awaiting submission to Google Play Games.

Google Play Games

The Game uses Google Play Games for sign-in and leaderboards and may attempt to sign you in when it starts.

When these features are used, Google processes information associated with your Play Games profile and scores submitted by the Game. Your gaming profile and scores may be visible to other players according to Google Play Games’ features and your account settings.

The Game does not receive your Google account password.

Advertising

The Game uses Google AdMob to display interstitial and rewarded advertisements. We do not use additional AdMob mediation providers.

Google may process information including:

• IP addresses, which may be used to estimate approximate location.
• Device, application, and advertising identifiers.
• Device and app information.
• Ad impressions, taps, and other advertising interactions.
• Diagnostic and performance information.

This information supports advertising delivery, advertising measurement, and fraud prevention. Advertising personalization depends on applicable settings, consent, and legal requirements.

Firebase Analytics

The Game uses Google Analytics for Firebase, with analytics collection enabled, to understand app usage and help improve the Game.

Firebase Analytics automatically processes information such as app-instance identifiers, device and application information, and app usage events. Advertising identifiers may also be processed depending on configuration, device settings, permissions, and applicable consent.

The Game currently does not send custom gameplay events to Firebase Analytics. Automatically collected analytics information is separate from progress and preferences stored locally on your device.

Support communications

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your enquiry and provide assistance.

2. How information is used

Information is processed to:

• Operate the Game and preserve progress and preferences.
• Provide Google Play Games sign-in and leaderboards.
• Display advertisements and provide rewards associated with rewarded ads.
• Understand app usage and improve the Game.
• Investigate technical problems and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Respond to support enquiries and privacy requests.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Privacy choices

The Game integrates Google’s User Messaging Platform to present advertising privacy messages and request choices where applicable.

You may also manage certain advertising preferences through your device and Google account settings. Restricting personalized advertising does not necessarily remove advertisements or stop processing necessary to deliver and secure them.

Google Play Games provides controls for your gaming profile and associated game data.

5. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following as appropriate:

• Providing requested services: to deliver Game features you request.
• Consent: where required for advertising, analytics, or access to information on your device.
• Legitimate interests: such as maintaining security and responding to enquiries, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Legal obligations: where processing is required by law.

Where processing relies on consent, withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

6. Retention and deletion

Local game data

Local progress and preferences remain on your device until the app’s data is cleared or otherwise removed. Uninstalling the Game may remove local information, although device backup settings may preserve or restore some information.

Removing local data does not automatically delete information already processed by Google.

Firebase Analytics

Our Google Analytics for Firebase data-retention setting is 2 months. This setting applies to user-level and event-level information covered by Google’s retention controls. It does not necessarily apply to standard aggregated reports.

Third-party information

Google retains information according to its policies and applicable service settings. Information may be retained longer where necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.

For deletion requests involving information under our control, contact parthmanhas@gmail.com. Information independently controlled by Google may also be managed through Google’s account and service controls.

7. International processing

The Game is available worldwide. Google and its service infrastructure may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the relevant processing must be covered by those safeguards. Information about Google’s international processing practices is available in its privacy and service documentation.

8. Security

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Children’s privacy

Pothole the Thieves is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Game, contact parthmanhas@gmail.com. We will investigate and take appropriate steps to delete information under our control and address collection through relevant service providers.

For users aged 13 or older who are below the applicable age of consent in their country, parental or guardian consent may be required for certain processing.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

• Request correction or deletion.
• Request a portable copy of certain information.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent.
